The infamous dress

Obviously wasn't taken by me.

This is a picture of the back of my prom dress which I made, taken by my good friend Charlie, who unfortunately missed off the top of my head and the bottom of my dress xD

The prom was on Thursday, and was preceded by many interesting, tiresome and worrying events! For example, I actually went to bed at 6am on the Thursday morning, due to only finishing my dress half an hour previously, as the zip was giving me a great amount of trouble. After four hours of sleep, hurriedly making the blue silk belt and gathering my things for the after-party/sleepover at a friend's house afterwards, I made my way to KT's house to get my hair and makeup done. As it turned out, my thick, silky hair that refused to stay in place without inordinate amounts of hairspray was the least of our worries, for KT needed at least two pairs of hands to get her into her dress. Furthermore, due to her continuously growing bust, her dress now fitted less comfortably than when she bought it. And the zip broke. So her aunt, her mom and I quickly spent half an hour figuring out how to fix it. After that, we left for her boyfriend's house, where the Hummer Limo was meant to pick us up. I was a bit annoyed, as his parents held a little party for our group and conveniently provided champagne and caviar (amongst other foods) as the snacks and drinks. Fine for others, but unfortunately I'm allergic to alcohol! Later on we then found out that the limo was actually 15 minutes late. When it finally did arrive, the only drinks provided in the limo were bottles of rose! Oh dear xD Fortunately Alex's mom got me a can of coke. However, people were piling so many things onto me that when the limo started to move, I accidentally spilt coke all over my dress (and all over the white parts!) Fortunately we found wet wipes, and I managed to get most of it off.

And that was just before the prom xD
